Kashmir

Kashmir After

No society heals fully while part of the memory remains displaced.

15 June 2026

For decades, terrorism tried to amputate Kashmir’s plural identity. It wanted a Valley without its Pandits, a society without trust, and a future built on fear. Their return is a direct rejection of that violent project. Kashmir belongs to every community that shaped its history, language, faith, culture and conscience. No gunman, no extremist slogan, no separatist fantasy had the right to decide who belongs here and who does not. A dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits means more than housing and security. It means restoring confidence, rebuilding social trust, protecting memory, and making it clear that exile cannot become permanent victory for terrorism. Kashmir’s healing will remain incomplete until every displaced Kashmiri can return with dignity, security and mutual respect. The Valley must not only defeat violence. It must undo what violence tried to erase. 7:06PM 15 June 2026
