On October 9, 1980, an officer of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council died; the reason was that @RahulGandhi  ji's grandmother Indira Gandhi ji ordered the then Congress Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Vishwanath Pratap Singh ji, to call in the police inside the Legislative Council on October 8, 1980. Opposition MLAs were brutally beaten with batons, sticks, kicks, and punches; more than 100 MLAs were injured, seriously wounded, and admitted to the hospital. You'll be shocked to learn the reason: On August 13, riots broke out in Moradabad, killing 100 people, injuring and displacing thousands. Nehru-Gandhi's old trope: the riots were orchestrated by @RSSorg , carried out by @VHPDigital , done by @BJP4India . Opposition parties raised the demand for an independent inquiry in the assembly, and in retaliation, Indira Gandhi ji unleashed a barrage of beatings. In this shameful incident, more cases were filed against the Valmiki community; a judicial inquiry was set up under the leadership of Justice Saxena. The 1983 report was suppressed by @INCIndia @samajwadiparty .

In 2023, 43 years later, the report was finally tabled in the assembly. The committee formed by Congress concluded that the riots were instigated by Muslim League's Shamim Sahab and Congress leader Maulana Hafiz to shine their leadership credentials and incite Muslims.
