Water pollution in Yamuna river flowing through Delhi. People and the government should take active part to keep Ganga and Yamuna free from industrial pollution. Industries need water to clean their equipments, floors and produce their products. State pollution control and Centre Pollution Controll government control departments are unable to control and balance between industrial progress and social needs. Each state government collects cess on waste water. This cess should be used by the state government to clean water by installing effluent treatment plant. This project needs holistic approach. I mean water pollution cannot be minimized by small, medium and large scale industries in India, for capitalists want profit and bribe the concerned government officials. Politicians and government officials are unable to balance social needs of industry which is a necessity and social needs of the society which is required for industry and the society.

It is a difficult process and needs attention by the state and central government. Sooner industries and politicians understand better it is for the society. It is also to be noted that many effluent waters can not be treated easily like effluent water of automobile and cotton dying colouring industries. It may be for this reason developed countries do not want industries which pollute water in their countries.

Delhi state can blame Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab but no solution can be reached without technology provided by institutes and capital provided by government.
