I am of the opinion that Indira Gandhi was not grass root worker of a political party. She used the administration's capability and did not realize the need of the poor people. Accordingly, she solved the problem by adopting English methods - divide and rule, rule by Iron hand etc. But Modi is from grass root worker and knows how to solve the problem. Since 6-7 years there was no development regarding separation अलगाव वादी powers. Time has changed but Congress is still not compromising with the ground realities.

-Weapons are easily used by hillside ethnic groups in Manipur.
Kuki and Naga are 40% of the Manipur population and have occupied 90% of Manipur land. Meiti of Manipur are 53% and Muslims are 7% of Manipur population. Meiti and Muslims live on plain areas, which is around 10% of Manipur land. The law and order situation is volatile since 1949 when Manipur joined India. Congress failed to provide a long-term solution. But BJP is trying hard since 2016. The problem is further exacerbated by Congress when many Meiti and Naga community change their religion and adopted Christianity. Many migrants infiltrated Myanmar.
"Manipur violence is political violence masterminded in May 2023 by INC (Congress) before the May 2024 elections in India. Experts on political conflicts wrote thousands of articles in which it is stated that how Congress used to win elections in India by infusing conflict between Hindus and Muslims. Now Congress raised this demon in Manipur to disturb the peace of India. The Power of Narratives - example Iraq./ Ethnic Groups in Conflict by Horowitz. The interest of Institutional power manipulates the sentiments of ethnic groups. Conflict is mainly due to the fear of the unknown. One community feels that the other community may dominate them. This fear of domination by the rival ethnic group leads to the fear of extinction. This fear of extinction leads to do-and-die situations in conflicts. Material and economic interests are important for elites but not for ground workers of ethnic leaders. Ethnic leaders infuse poor and less educated supporters with the feeling of loss of identity. Religious identity is mostly employed by political leaders and Drug elites before elections to win over the voters.
Manipur is the burning example of this theory. Meiti ethnic group (Hindu) is in the majority and won the state elections. Manipur is ruled by the Meiti community with the representation of the Kuki (Christian) community the least. The Christians feel miserable and feel that their future is insecure and the Hindu majority may change the demography of Manipur. Christians have occupied more areas in the mountains. Naga people are not more in number. This situation is exploited by national and international Modi opposition. Opposition blames Modi only not the BJP. The opposition blames misuse of the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax Authorities by Modi, for many opposition leaders have amassed wealth disproportionate to their income. This is the main reason the opposition is united against Modi and Manipur is the end result of this frustration.
Minorities are being used by these political opposition parties in India. BJP benefits equally Muslims and Christians but both oppose Modi. Under these circumstances, elections of the Indian parliament in May 2024 are significant, though BJP and Opposition both claim that they may get the majority.
The problem is created by Congress INC of India when INC allowed proselytization of the one community and migration from other neighboring states. In Manipur it is Christianity but in Rajasthan and West Bengal, it is a Muslim community. Rape and Women always suffer in conflict. Examples are in Kashmir, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Bihar during Lalu Yadav and Uttar Pradesh before the Yogi period. Congress was silent on North East and did not develop that area. The problem is incubated by Congress during the Sonia period (when Sonia joined the Indira Gandhi family and after the death of Sanjay Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi). Rape culture took a long time to develop and shall take a long time to curtail this rape culture. Humanity and people without borders condemn this rape culture in India.
Greed, grievance, and proselytization cause conflict in Manipur. The hill area is occupied by Naga and Kuki communities. Kuki and Naga are recognized as ST and are benefitted by this practice.
